SO sorry for not posting in awhile. I was without my computer, But now I am back.
When we finally were on our own 100% I began focusing on all the things we didn't have. Obviously focusing on the negative brings you down. So I decided to change my attitude and when I pray at night I would only pray of thanks (a home, family, church, etc.) Which is really good but I decided to take it a next step further and start being grateful for the little things on a day today basis, and being grateful for the memories and the lessons I have learned. Now I am getting to why I am thankful for bread.
Today my wonderful mother in-law was so kind to invite me over to learn how to make bread. She took the time to teach me everything about bread making, kneading the dough, proofing your yeast and the importance of each ingredient. I had so much fun. I enjoyed the time I get to know her a little better, and of course how to make new things. I came home thought for a minute and started to be grateful for all that this little time brought me. First I feel so grateful to be loved to be thought of, my mother in-law took time to think of me, she took the time to teach me. I am grateful for food storage, and am thankful to learn how to cook with it. I am grateful for this memory. I feel that we not only should be thankful for big things but all the little things as well. I believe also when we take the time to think of all the good things that happen day to day we are much more positive and are much happier. I am also thankful for gratitude.....
and I am also thankful for bread.
I am thankful for bread! And secretly...I'm jealous...I haven't been taught how to make bread by mom. But I think she's just about taught everyone else! lol. Oh well, I've had a busy 4 years now. The bread looks absolutely WONDERFUL, and I am grateful I got to read your post about being thankful for all of the little things. It really does make for a better day!
